Light, weather, time and use leave their marks on surfaces. Beauty that is found, not sought.
LOST IN COLOURS is a photographic project about beauty and change. It centres on the effect of external influences on material: light, weather, time, use and wear. Scratches, weathering and traces of handling are not seen as flaws but as visible processes of transformation.
The works move between photography and painting: surfaces become fields of colour, materials become pictorial spaces. Beauty does not arise from staging but from chance and observation. At the same time, the changes in the materials can be read as states, as metaphors for outside forces that make change, vulnerability and adaptation visible and so open up a wider social reference.
Lost in Colours understands beauty as something transient, processual and everyday: found, not sought.
