Philipp Treudt photographs communities in Cologne and beyond: nightclubs, sports clubs, families and the people who hold them together.

Photographer, Cologne

Philipp Treudt, born in Germany in 1978, lives and works in Cologne. After training as a media designer for digital and print in the early 2000s, he has worked in culture and events since 2006. In 2014 he helped design The PhotoBook Museum in Cologne, where among other things he was responsible for realising the Café Lehmitz.

He deepened his artistic development through seminars and workshops, including with Wolfgang Zurborn at Lichtblick School in Cologne and, since April 2026, at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie. Since 2020 he has worked continuously on independent photographic projects that move between documentary observation and experimental imagery.

He exhibited the series Gamechanger at the Museum of Applied Arts Cologne (MAKK) and in 2023 presented his project BOYSENBLACK&WILDBERRY at the renowned Kolga Tbilisi Photo Festival in Georgia. These international and local stations reflect Treudt’s approach: photography as an open field that links personal perspectives with social issues and carries them into different cultural contexts.
